The global pandemic continues to evolve, and the climate crisis is imminent... Human long-term survival and sustainable development are facing unprecedented challenges!

A sustainable future requires collaborative and innovative solutions from young elites around the world, advocating a global governance concept of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits, with a more open, more inclusive, more integrated, more resilient perspective and green technology power. In an uncertain world, it shoulders the mission of the beacon of human civilization.

The wisdom of the youth has been fully released, the power of the youth has grown rapidly, and its influence on global governance is gradually increasing. The youth leaders are the decision-makers and leaders of the future international social order. As an effective way to discover and cultivate young talents with a global outlook and leadership, since 2020, under the framework of the World Young Scientist Summit, the organizing committee has selected no more than 50 people from global science, technology, business, venture capital and arts every year. Outstanding representatives in other fields, joined the international "π community", and held the "Global Roundtable for Young Scientist Scholar", cross-border integration, cross-field cooperation, and voice of youth, which became one of the important permanent agendas of the summit.

The 4th World Young Scientist Summit in 2022 is about to be unveiled, and the organizing committee will issue a "Hero Post" today to select young talents around the world, strengthen the "π community", and participate in the "G50 Upward and Good - 2022 Global Roundtable for Young Scientist Scholar", hoping to provide a platform for exchanges and cooperation for government agencies, youth organizations, youth leaders, and all sectors of societythat care about and support the development of youth. Spirit, and cultivate batches of global talents with the world in mind.

π Community Member Benefits

1. Obtain membership in the global π community, enjoy rights and perform their duties;

2. Participate in the World Young Scientist Summit as a "Global Young Scientist Leader" to exchange and display research results and activities;

3. Be able to meet top scientists, policy makers, entrepreneurs and high-level participants of the World Young Scientist Summit;

4. The π community regularly accepts applications from members for short-term study tours and cooperative research, office, and residence, and make all effort to provide physical space support for members;

5. Innovative projects and ideas can be connected to the "World Young Scientist Entrepreneurship Fund", and they will be given priority funding considerations to showcase their innovative projects and ideas in order to better serve the world and society;

6. You can further discuss with the World Young Scientist Summit Secretariat and the global π community, and submit suggestions and opinions at any time. We will try our best to support the academic and innovative project plans of community members.

How to become a π Community Member

1.Basic conditions: Candidates must be born after January 1st, 1977 (inclusive), and have the physical fitness to continue working or serving;

2.Professional knowledge: Possess professional knowledge in any scientific field, and have excellent research results, and are interested in interdisciplinary and interdisciplinary cooperation (such as science and technology, humanities, venture capital, etc.);

3.Outstanding achievements: Candidates should have a leadership role in global science, technology, innovation, venture capital and enterprise, with 5-15 years of outstanding professional work experience, a consistent record of basic scientific achievements, and a proven track record in their careers. Continuing to play an important leadership role in the research field and other areas, with pioneering contributions and achievements;

4.Social service: Candidates need to practice the concept of "technology serves global society and sustainable development", and need to prove that they are serving the society through outstanding contributions and profound ethical concepts, and have achieved remarkable results. The results of work are translated into social impact and communicated;

5.Good character and ethics: The candidate needs to have flawless personal credit; the candidate should also have a good reputation in the community; at the same time, the candidate has demonstrated a good self-awareness and desire to learn, willing to Broader sharing of what has been learned in the program;

6.Nomination: Candidates need to be nominated by excellent nominees, including members of previous "Young Global Technology Leaders", heads, professors, CEOs or directors of international organizations, universities, research institutions, cooperative enterprises and other institutions long wait as security for the candidate;

7.All units can nominate only one candidate per year. All applicants must provide the name of at least one recommender, who we can contact to learn more about the candidate's situation. The recommender should state that they are willing to support the development of the π community and to serve the sustainable development of mankind;

8.This community accepts self-nomination, but needs to provide more application materials and recommendation letters.

Nomination method and selection process

1. Please submit the application and materials before 24:00 on September 30th, 2022 (scan the QR code below to get the registration form:

2. Please fill in the registration form when registering, and send an email to pi.community@wyss.org.cn to submit the following materials:

- CV (no more than 3 pages);

-Personal photos (photos not less than 1M);

- Letter of recommendation from the nominee;

- Candidate self-recommendation letter;

- and the corresponding necessary supporting materials;

3. October, 2022 - The jury will review and announce the results;

4. November, 2022 - The selected candidates will participate in the 2022 Global Youth Science and Technology Leaders' Roundtable
