On November 15, the World Association of Young Scientists (WAYS) held the Forum on International Scientific Organization Cooperation and Exchange in Wenzhou with the support of the International Science Council(ISC). Chaoyang Lu, the Chairperson of WAYS, Chunbo Gao, the Vice-Chairperson and Secretary-General of WAYS,Gabriela Ivan, the Membership Development Officer of the International Science Council, and Chandra Shekhar Sharma, the Co-Chair of the Global Young Academy delivered the keynote address at the conference. Over 60 initial member representatives from the World Association of Young Scientists, along with representatives from the International Science Council and other international scientific organizations, attended the forum.

With the theme of "Empowering Young Scientists, Strengthening International Cooperation," this forum focused on topics such as "International Engagement of Young Scientists," "Scientific Leadership," and "Cross-Regional International Collaboration." The discussions aimed to empower young scientists globally, contributing to scientific innovation and development worldwide.
本次会议以“赋能青年科学家 加强国际合作”为主题,围绕“年轻科学家的国际参与”“科学领导力”“跨区域国际合作”等议题进行讨论,赋能国际青年科学家,为全球科技创新和发展贡献力量。

Gabriela Ivan provided an overview of ISC’s development, areas of work, membership, and international cooperation projects. She hoped to collaborate with WAYS in the future on training capacity modules with scientific exchanges, participation of young scientists to international events. Additionally, she emphasized that the world is facing numerous sustainability challenges and conflicts, making it more crucial than ever to have scientific organizations that can build bridges of dialogue and collaboration. Science is such a powerful tool of bringing people together, so we can find common solutions for the challenges we're facing.

Chandra Shekhar Sharma delivered a speech on Nurturing Next Generation of Scientific Leaders, highlighting that the interconnected nature of the world and complex global challenges influences science to become interdisciplinary. Modern science requires highly integrated and interactive team under a strong leadership to achieve and sustain the success of research. Additionally, Scientific leaders are needed to drive the integration of science into the wider world in a way that places science in a more influential position to help change the world for the better.
