Under the theme of "Converging the World's Talents, Creating a Better Future," WYSS 2025 will feature 1 plenary session, 11 parallel forums, and the WYSS Carnival. These events are expected to provide a platform for young scientists to fully communicate and exchange ideas, enabling them to play a leading role and fostering a vibrant atmosphere where "youth gather by science".

The WYSS 2025 continues to focus on the United Nations' 2030 Sustainable Development Goals and the annual topic of "Embracing Change: Young Scientists Shaping the Future Together." The Summit will highlight global common issues, such as youth development, sustainable development, technological innovation, and open collaboration. By empowering young scientists to take on leadership roles and tackle major challenges, the Summit seeks to foster partnerships and mutual growth among young scientists worldwide, as well as between scientists and entrepreneurs. Through these efforts, the Summit aims to help young scientific talents achieve their aspirations, unlock their potential, and harness innovation to drive socioeconomic progress—ultimately contributing to a brighter future for all.

The registration channels are now open (early bird registration available until 24:00 on October 10, with the registration portal closing at 24:00 on October 20). Fans of the WYSS will have the opportunity to get up close to influential scientists and young researchers from various fields, listen to their insightful perspectives, experience cutting-edge science and technology, and connect with global innovation resources.

Meanwhile, the call for papers is organized around the annual topic of WYSS 2025: "Embracing Change: Young Scientists Shaping the Future Together." It calls for the latest research findings and innovative ideas in key development areas, such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Quantum Information Technology and Quantum Computing, Future Manufacturing and Intelligent Manufacturing, Biotechnology and Comprehensive Health, Sustainable Energy and Environmental Science, Materials Science and Nanotechnology. Full papers, abstracts, and posters are welcome.

WYSS is co-hosted by the China Association for Science and Technology and the People's Government of Zhejiang Province. The event has been held annually for six consecutive years since its inception. In 2019, Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message to the first WYSS, emphasizing that "the future of science and technology is dependent on the young." The following year, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres also sent a letter to the attending young scientists.

Over the past six years, WYSS has strengthened collaboration with leading international science and technology organizations, aligned itself with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, and harnessed the collective power of the global science and technology community to foster an open, innovative ecosystem that encourages youth engagement in global science and technology governance. To date, WYSS has established connections with over 200 universities, international NGOs and other organizations from more than 130 countries and regions. The summit has invited over 30 Nobel Prize and Turing Award laureates, 400 Chinese and international academicians, and over 6,600 scientists, entrepreneurs, and venture capitalists. WYSS remains committed to building an open exchange platform, empowering young scientists to share ideas, inspire one another, and turn their aspirations into reality.
