iFuture

iFuture is a flagship open-access journal published by Tsinghua University Press on the SciOpen platform, with academic support from the Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences at Tsinghua University. The journal is edited by Turing Award laureate Professor Andrew Chi-Chih Yao and is a core part of the AI Open Alliance. Its core mission is to break through the theoretical bottlenecks and fundamental infrastructure of artificial intelligence.

iFuture focuses on the essential attributes of artificial intelligence (AI), with its core mission being to break through the theoretical bottlenecks and fundamental infrastructure of AI. We welcome high-impact original research with major domain advancements covering the following core areas:

1. Novel AI theories, efficient algorithms, and underlying architecture platforms, including significant original innovations, high-value interdisciplinary reviews, and breakthrough achievements from national-level key AI research and development programs.

2. Embodied intelligence and multimodal perception, focusing on embodied intelligence, humanoid robots, and multimodal sensor fusion.

3. Scientific AI and interdisciplinary applications, covering brain-computer interfaces (BCI), brain-inspired computing, and the inherent fundamental principles of neural networks.

4. Future computing paradigms (including optoelectronic computing, quantum computing, and other emerging models), focusing on AI-specific chips and computing-in-memory (CIM) architectures.

5. AI-integrated research, emphasizing autonomous discovery and promoting the enhancement of AI's own research capabilities.

6. Next-generation scholarly communication, focusing on AI-augmented research dissemination and AI-driven quality assessment to reshape the entire knowledge lifecycle.
