Guibin Jiang, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, dean of the College
of the Environment of the Hangzhou Institute for Advanced Study, UCAS, and dean
of College of Resources and Environment, UCAS, exchanged views with relevant
enterprises and young scientific workers in Wenzhou on "3060" target ecological
environment protection. Academician Jiang said that the carbon element has
driven the progress of human society, but has also virtually changed people's living
environment. As the Economist recently described when talking about the challenge
of climate change to mankind, "the atmospheric change caused by gas emissions
seems to have been the most insignificant stage background in the historical drama
of mankind development for thousands of years. However, gradually we found that
the stage background has been changing all the time, and up to now it even began to
gradually participate in and determine the future direction of mankind development."
