BUILDING A SHARED FUTURE FOR ALL LIFE ON EARTH

On May 13, the Global Bio2Bio Summit was held in Taishun, Wenzhou. As the first event of the World Young Scientist Summit
2021, the forum, with the theme of "Protecting the Biodiversity, Building a Shared Future for All Life on Earth", brought together
133 outstanding representatives and experts and scholars in the field of biodiversity conservation and biotechnology from more
than 10 countries around the world, to discuss relevant topics together. The event attracted more than 120,000 participants online
and offline.

Zhiyuan Xie, secretary of the Party Group and vice chairman of Zhejiang Association for Science and Technology (ZAST), Li Dai,
level-II inspector of ZAST, Yuming Ren, deputy secretary of the Party Group and deputy director of the Standing Committee
of Wenzhou Municipal People's Congress, leaders of relevant provincial and municipal departments and leaders of the Party
committee, people's congress, government and CPPCC of Taishun County attended the opening ceremony of the forum;
Velia Siciliano, president of Bio2Bio, a global ecological diversity project, and Yaoru Lu, academician of Chinese Academy of
Engineering and professor of Tongji University delivered speeches; Huadong Guo, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences,
Mingxiang Zhang, deputy secretary-general of National Wetland Science and Technology Commission, and Mingjian Yu, professor
of College of Life Sciences, Zhejiang University delivered keynote reports, respectively.
