STRENGTHENING COOPERATION
FOR A BETTER FUTURE

On October 25, 2021 WE Forum, a Time: October 25-27, 2021
large-scale international academic Venue: Hangzhou, Zhejiang
forum co-organized by Westlake
University, Zhejiang Association for
Science and Technology, was officially
opened in Hangzhou. With the theme of
"Strengthening Cooperation for a Better
Future", the forum aims to promote
the exchange and cooperation among
young scientists from different countries,
discuss the frontier issues, push the
unknown boundaries of science, and
tackle global problems together. The
forum attracted 15,000 participants
online, enhancing academic exchanges
across disciplines and increasing the
international influence of the university.

From October 26 to 27, four symposiums,
including Quantum Matter and Quantum
Information Symposium, Discovery,
Design and Synthesis of Functional
Molecules Symposium, Infection and
Immunology Symposium, and Westlake
International Symposium on Engineering
(WISE), took place simultaneously, with
over 300 young scientists from more
than 70 world-renowned universities
and research institutions, including
MIT, Cambridge University, Harvard
Medical School, Tsinghua University,
Peking University, Chinese Academy of
Sciences, and Westlake University. Young
and middle-aged scientists participated
in this forum, sharing cutting-edge
research results and discussing new
academic trends and new issues.
