On November 14, Sino-Ukrainian Bilateral Science And Technology Exchange Forum
opened at Hangzhou International Expo Center. Weihua Xu, member of the Standing
Committee of Hangzhou Municipal Committee, member and vice mayor of the Party
Group of Hangzhou Municipal Government presided over the opening ceremony.
Guili Tong, deputy secretary of Hangzhou Municipal Committee and secretary of
Xiaoshan District Committee, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, hoping
that the institute could pool more intellectual resources, achieve more innovation
breakthroughs, solve more "bottleneck" problems, and provide hard-core support
for promoting quality change, efficiency change and momentum change in the
manufacturing industry. Hangzhou and Xiaoshan will do their utmost to be the
"gardener" who cultivates and fertilizes the plants, the "partner" who grows alongside,
and the "store assistant" who provides attentive services, and work hand in hand with
everyone to achieve win-win cooperation.
Academician Chunli Bai, chairman of the Alliance of International Science
Organizations (ANSO) and honorary chairman of the Presidium of the Academic
Divisions of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CASAD), Artem Pushkin, consul
general of Ukraine in Shanghai, academician Korzhyk Volodymyr of the National
Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, as well as academician Jiluan Pan and Shufeng
Yang of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, academician Congjie Gao, Delu Pan
and Zongmao Chen of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and other Chinese and
foreign academicians and experts attended the event.
