诠释科学与外交“行者”的人生意义

10 月 17 日，由斯洛伐克驻华特命全权大使杜尚 · 贝拉带来的“寓见未来”科学交响三部曲《使者――斯
洛伐克畅想》乐章在温州肯恩大学奏响。

斯洛伐克――于中欧的一个内陆国家，北临波兰，南临匈牙利，有欧洲底特律之称，大众、起亚等众多汽
车品牌都在此设厂，去年进博会上的明星产品“会飞的汽车”正是由斯洛伐克的公司研发的。杜尚 · 贝拉
本人的经历非常有趣，身上贴着很多标签，科学与外交是最重要的两个 ：他毕业于捷克理工大学核科学
和物理工程学院，曾经从事核物理研究，在欧洲和亚洲都担任过非常重要的外交职务，现在是斯洛伐克
驻华特命全权大使，从科学家跨界到了外交官，他的别样人生引起了同学极大的兴趣。

Interpret the meaning of life as a
“practitioner” of science and diplomacy

On October 17, Duan Bella, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Slovakia to China
gave a presentation titled "Envoy: Slovak Imagination" at Wenzhou-Kean University, as one of the
trilogy project "Future of Science".

Slovakia is a landlocked country in Central Europe, bordered by Poland in the north and Hungary
in the south. It's known as Detroit in Europe as many car brands such as Volkswagen and KIA
have their factories there. At China International Import Expo (CIIE) held last year, a star product
"flying car" was just developed by a company in Slovakia. Duan Bella's own experience is very
interesting. He has multiple identities, of which scientist and diplomat are the most important
ones. He graduated from Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering, Czech Technical
University and used to engage in research on nuclear physics. He also held very important
diplomatic posts in Europe and Asia, and is now Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of
Slovakia to China. From a scientist to a diplomat, his special life experience aroused great interest
of the students.
