以科技创新推动可持续发展，成为破解各国共同关心的全球性问题、应对全球性挑战的必由之路。中国
已正式宣布加入世卫组织牵头的“新冠肺炎疫苗实施计划（COVAX）”，将致力于同国际社会一道为日益
不确定的世界增加确定性。万钢主席对峰会提出三点期望：矢志科技创新，以科技创新促进可持续发展、增
进人类福祉 ；凝聚共识，进一步汇聚共同应对全球性挑战的信心、智慧和力量 ；构建全球创新网络，深
化开放包容、互惠共享的高水平开放合作。他希望峰会充分发挥桥梁纽带作用，以战略眼光、开放视野、宽
阔胸怀，在全球范围内广泛开展合作交流，拓展开放交流渠道，增进科技人才互信与合作。

Promoting sustainable development with scientific and technological innovation has become
the only way to address global issues of common concern and meet global challenges for all
countries. China has officially joined the WHO-led "COVID-19 Vaccines Global Access (COVAX)
and will work with the international community to add certainties to this increasingly uncertain
world.Gang Wan expressed three expectations for the Summit: stay committed to scientific
and technological innovation and promote sustainable development and human well-being with
scientific and technological innovation; build consensus and further entrench the confidence
and pool wisdom and strength to jointly respond to global challenges; build a global innovation
network and deepen the high-level cooperation featuring openness, inclusiveness, mutual benefit
and sharing. He also wished that the Summit could play its role as a bridge, engage in extensive
cooperation and exchanges worldwide with a strategic and open vision and a broad mind, expand
open communication channels and enhance mutual trust and cooperation among science and
technology talents.
