万钢指出，青年是最富想象力、创造力的人群，是推动可持续发展的重要力量。中国
共产党第二十次全国代表大会立足全球、全人类的视角，思考中国新时代的历史方位，
擘画了中国未来发展的宏伟蓝图，深刻阐释了中国式现代化的重要特征，体现了广泛
而深远的意义。二十大报告将教育、科技、人才贯通论述、统筹部署，对创新发展规律、
科技管理规律和人才成长规律的认识与把握达到了新高度，并对广大青年提出了殷切
希望。

他希望广大青年能够坚持守正创新，以科技塑造未来；坚持问题导向，以创新驱动发展；
坚持开放融合，以对话合作凝聚共识。中国科协愿同全球科技界携手，团结带领广大
科技工作者，特别是青年科技工作者，共商共议全球科技议题，让科技之光照耀当下，
照耀未来。

Gang Wan pointed out that youth are the most imaginative and creative and represent
an important force in promoting sustainable development. From the perspective of the
whole world and all mankind, the 20th National Congress of the CPC reconsidered China’s
historical orientation in the new era, drew a grand blueprint for China’s future development,
and profoundly explained the important characteristics of Chinese-style modernization,
demonstrating an extensive and far-reaching significance. The Report to the 20th National
Congress of the CPC thoroughly explains the overall planning for the development of
education, science and technology, and human resources. The Report has reached a new
height in terms of understanding and grasping the law of innovation and development, the
law of science and technology management, and the law of talent growth. The Report also
raises ardent expectations for youth.

He raised the expectation for young people to uphold integrity and innovation and shape
the future with science and technology; adhere to problem-oriented and innovation-driven
development; stick to openness and integration, and build consensus through dialogues
and cooperation. China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) is willing to unite
and lead scientific and technological workers, especially young scientists to discuss global
science and technology issues, thus letting the light of science and technology shine at
present and in the future.
