To further leverage the World Young Scientist Summit (WYSS) as a platform, promote the global showcasing, exchange and commercialization of cutting-edge scientific and technological innovations, and connect technology, talent, capital and market resources more effectively, the 3rd "Universal Gravitation π" Exhibition & Exchange Event, a core supporting event of the 8th World Young Scientist Summit (WYSS), will be held on October 23–25, 2026 at the Garden Expo Park International Conference Center (China Pavilion), Wenzhou, Zhejiang, China. Under the theme " Young Minds with π · Smart Innovation for the Future," the core exhibition follows the 0→1→10→100 technology development pathway and is laid out in four zones: Patent Source Innovation, Concept & Principle Verification, Pilot-Scale Process Maturation, and "Four Firsts" Mass Production & Commercialization. It covers future industries including embodied intelligence, new energy & new materials, laser & optoelectronics, life & health, smart healthcare, brain-computer interface and low-altitude equipment. Concurrent programs include a hard-tech investment & financing conference, challenge-based matchmaking sessions and new product launches. The event will also feature immersive experiences and application demonstrations and release industry-chain maps on site, highlighting closed-loop technology application and real-world deployment. Backed by the global network of Wenzhou entrepreneurs and local policy mechanisms such as grant-investment linkage, pilot-scale process maturation and first-set promotion and application, the event provides end-to-end support for exhibition, matchmaking and project implementation.

Exhibits are now being invited from around the world. Participation is by invitation only, with no booth fees charged. The specific requirements are as follows:

1. Exhibit Categories                                                                

The call is organized into four zones spanning the full technology life cycle. Please apply to the zone corresponding to the stage of your technology; applications will be submitted and evaluated separately by zone:

(1) Patent Source Innovation Zone

Open to universities, research institutes, new R&D institutions, technology companies and inventors worldwide, this zone seeks core invention patents in future industry fields. Eligible patents must be granted invention patents or invention patent applications that have entered substantive examination (excluding utility models and design patents) and meet at least one of the following conditions: PCT applications (preference given to those that have entered the national phase); recipients of the China Patent Award; recipients of a provincial-level patent award; patents covering critical core technologies in national strategic emerging industries or future industries; or patents that have been licensed or transferred, or have attracted venture capital.

(2) Concept & Principle Verification Zone

Open to universities, research institutes, new R&D institutions, technology companies and teams of young scientists worldwide, this zone seeks cutting-edge scientific and technological innovations at the concept- or principle-verification stage. Eligible submissions must have completed laboratory proof-of-principle testing and include a demonstrable physical prototype or device (software-based submissions must include a runnable demo). Technologies should be original and groundbreaking; early-stage innovations derived from major science and technology projects or key R&D programs are preferred. Commercialization is not required; evaluation focuses on originality and breakthrough potential.

(3) Pilot-Scale Process Maturation Zone

Open to enterprises, research institutes, new R&D institutions and innovation teams that operate pilot-scale platforms or have completed pilot-scale process maturation, this zone seeks technologies and representative cases that have advanced from laboratory prototypes to pilot-scale validation. Eligible submissions must have completed pilot-scale process validation (including bench-scale-to-pilot-scale studies), have displayable finished samples, material specimens or physical exhibits, and provide comparative laboratory vs. pilot-scale process parameters and yield/performance improvement data. Priority will be given to submissions with clear plans to collaborate with industries in Wenzhou.

(4) First-Set Mass Production & Commercialization Zone

Open to industrial-chain anchor enterprises, industry-leading enterprises, specialized & sophisticated “Little Giant” enterprises, listed companies and research institutes, this zone seeks major technical equipment, new materials, software and AI terminal products that have achieved industrial mass production. These include provincially recognized first-set major technical equipment, first-batch new materials and first-edition software, as well as first AI terminal (data) products (Wenzhou is the first city in China to include these within the first-set product category). Products must already be in mass production or have mass-production capability, with actual application cases or user orders.

2. Eligible Applicants                                                                

Universities, research institutes, new R&D institutions, technology companies, medical and healthcare institutions, industry alliances, innovation teams, patent inventors and other innovation entities worldwide with cutting-edge scientific and technological achievements are eligible to apply.

3. Application Requirements                                                   

(1) Clear and legitimate ownership. Applicants must hold lawful intellectual property rights to the exhibits. Application materials must be true, accurate and valid; ownership must be clear, with no intellectual property disputes. Any applicant found to have submitted false information will be disqualified.

(2) Apply to the appropriate zone. Select the zone based on the stage of the technology: invention patents → Zone 1; early-stage concept-verification or proof-of-principle prototypes → Zone 2; results that have completed pilot-scale validation → Zone 3; mass-produced products with provincial “Four Firsts” recognition (or at the public-notice stage of recognition) → Zone 4.

(3) Complete application materials. Please complete the WYSS Exhibitor Information Form (Attachment 5) and submit the supporting materials required by the relevant zone guide. Exhibit names, technical parameters, application scenarios, expected outcomes, and transportation and demonstration requirements (dimensions, weight, power, network, special environmental requirements, etc.) must be complete, clear and verifiable.

(4) Demonstration safety. Exhibits involving powered operation, moving parts, lasers or flight demonstrations must specify the demonstration plan and safety operating procedures in the application; on-site demonstrations may proceed only after review and approval.

(5) Costs and coordination. Participation is by invitation only, and no booth fees are charged. Exhibit transportation, personnel travel and related costs are borne by participating organizations unless otherwise agreed. Selected exhibitors must confirm their exhibits and demonstration plans within the specified timeframe and complete move-in and exhibition setup as scheduled.
