The symposium took place in an online and offline manner, focusing on the theme

of "Constructing a safe, green and livable digital resilient city by adapting to local
conditions". It was composed of 8 thematic sub-forums including Exploration,
Evaluation, Planning and Key Technologies of Urban Underground Space, Urban
geological survey and application of the results, Disaster Prevention and Safe
Operation and Maintenance of Urban Underground, Theory and Technology of Smart
Cities Construction, To Achieve Carbon Neutrality and Emission Peak: Predictive
Models of Geological Disasters and Infrastructure Risk, and City Power Supply for
Resilient Cities Under Extreme Weather and so on. The symposium also invited the
British Geological Survey, the Finnish Geological Survey, the Japanese Geological
Survey, the Associated Research Centers for the Urban Underground Space, the
Coordinating Committee for Geo-science Programmes in East and Southeast Asia
(CCOP), the Young Earth Scientists, universities and research institutions to have
online likages.
